Casablanca → Fez
Pickup at Casablanca Airport at your flight's arrival time, with a sign bearing the Unique Morocco Experience name, or at any other point in the city. Then the drive to Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities, founded at the end of the 8th century. Arrival, dinner, and the night in the city, with the whole next day ahead for the medina.

Fez → full day → local guide
A day devoted to Fez with a local guide. The medina of Fez el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, still keeps its workshops organized by guild, and its streets are so narrow that only donkeys get through. You'll walk through the Andalusian quarter, past mosques and Quranic schools, and by the University of Al Qarawiyyin, founded in 859 and one of the oldest in the world.

Fez → Ifrane · Azrou · Midelt · Erfoud → Merzouga
A long day south across the Middle Atlas. You'll pass through Ifrane and the Azrou cedar forest, continue to Midelt, and follow the Ziz River valley down through the palm groves to Erfoud. In Merzouga you'll trade the car for camels and ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Dinner and the night in a tent at the desert camp.

Merzouga → Rissani · Tazarine · Agdz → Ouarzazate
A shower and breakfast in Merzouga before heading west. The first stop is the large market of Rissani. The road continues through Tazarine, with stops to photograph the palm groves and adobe villages along the way, and through Agdz, in the Draa Valley. You'll reach Ouarzazate, the town of the film studios, in the afternoon, for dinner and the night.

Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou · Tizi n'Tichka → Marrakech
After breakfast, the road to Marrakech runs through Berber villages. You'll stop at Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage adobe ksar built on a hillside above the Ounila River. Then you'll cross the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, at 2,260 m (7,415 ft), with wide views over the valleys. Arrival in Marrakech at the end of the day, with time for a first walk through the medina and its souks.
