Fez → Ifrane · Azrou · Midelt · Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Heading south through Ifrane and the Azrou cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques. We cross the Middle Atlas, have lunch in Midelt and follow the palm groves of the Ziz Valley down to Merzouga.

Merzouga → Khamlia → Erg Chebbi
A 4×4 trip along the desert tracks to Khamlia and tea with a nomad family. In the afternoon, camels into the dunes for sunset, a Berber dinner with music and a night under the stars.

Erg Chebbi → Rissani · Erfoud → Todra
Sunrise over the dunes and back by camel for breakfast. The Rissani market and a drive through Erfoud to the Todra Gorges, with rock walls hundreds of feet high.

Todra → Boumalne · Valley of Roses · Skoura → Ouarzazate
Along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Dades Valley, the Valley of Roses and the Skoura palm grove to Ouarzazate, where we visit the Taourirt kasbah.

Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou · Tizi n'Tichka → Marrakech
An optional visit to the Ouarzazate film studios, then the kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We cross the High Atlas and reach Marrakech in the afternoon.
